Bennett Weiss, MS, CF APMP - Founder and President
Bennett is a highly skilled and experienced proposal management professional who has established himself as an expert. With a Master of Science degree and a Certified Foundation accreditation from the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), Bennett has gained over 13 years of experience working with State, Federal, and Local Governments. He has helped clients secure contracts and funding through effective proposal writing and management, earning him a strong reputation in the industry and a large network of professional connections.
Bennett provides expert advice and support to businesses seeking contracts with government agencies. With his education, certifications, and work experience, Bennett is well-equipped to help companies navigate the complexities of government contracting and secure contracts that drive growth.
As the President of Long Island RFP, Bennett continues to significantly impact the industry by helping clients navigate the complex world of Government Contracting and Nonprofit work. He is a dedicated consulting professional with a proven track record in proposal operations and business development. Bennett leads a team of experienced professionals in executing business-wide processes, systems, and tools related to proposal execution, knowledge management, and government contracting.
With a deep understanding of services in the areas of government contracting readiness, MWBE certifications, analyzing RFP documents, Federal Acquisition Regulations, procurement, proposal writing, proposal shop training, nonprofit organizational readiness, grant research and development, grant writing, and reporting, Bennett helps organizations navigate the complexities of government contracting. He identifies opportunities and develops winning strategies to secure contracts for small and medium-sized businesses, MWBEs, nonprofits, and other organizations.
Bennett's education includes an MS in Education - Math Science Technology from Dowling College (2008) and a BS in Communication Studies from Towson University (2003). He also holds an APMP Foundation Level Certification (2017) and completed coursework in Business Foundations Specialization from the Wharton School Of Business - Coursera Online (2020), Prepare Winning Federal Proposals from SCORE Association (2012), and Introduction to Proposal Writing from The Foundation Center (2012).
Bennett's work experience includes founding and serving as President of Long Island RFP, Inc. since 2020. Bennett previously held positions as Senior Proposal Manager at Magellan Rx Management (July 2015 - March 2018), Proposal Developer at Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. (October 2014 - July 2015), Senior Proposal Manager at Aetna Medicaid Administrators, a CVS Health Company (March 2018 - June 2020), and Assistant to Vice President of Sales at CCS Presentation Systems (January 2011 - December 2014).
Before starting his career in proposal management, Bennett worked as a teacher–Middle School ELA / Curriculum Writer-Developer at Passages Academy - Crossroads Juvenile Detention Center (NYCDOE) from 2008-2011. He evaluated the effectiveness of the District Wide English Language Arts Curriculum and provided alternative solutions within the Audit Committee for the English Language Arts curriculum for NYCDOE District 79. Bennett also participated as a technical liaison for computer technology-based assistance needs for effective program implementation.
Erin Crouthamel, MS - VP of Marketing and Business Development
Erin Crouthamel is a versatile and accomplished professional with a marketing, public relations, and project management background. Erin earned her dual BS from St. Joseph's College in Childhood Education, Birth to Grade 6 General and Special Education, and an MS in Literacy Education from Long Island University, honing her public speaking, interpersonal communication, and media studies skills. This strong educational foundation has propelled her career forward, allowing her to excel in various marketing and public relations roles.
In her professional career, Erin has worked with various clients, ranging from small businesses to large corporations, nursing centers, and nonprofit foundations.
